My other blog is here.

This blog covers issues that are relevant to India’s participation in the World Trade Organization (WTO). Besides covering Indian positions at and engagement with the WTO in Geneva, the blog also deals with broader issue areas like:

  • India’s participation in global economic policy negotiations on issues like energy, climate change, labour and health etc. where these present as "trade and …" issues
  • Domestic policy, institutional and legal reforms in India that have a WTO connection
  • Broader consideration of economic reforms in India, as many target sectors are either presently regulated by the WTO or are potential regulatory targets
  • Review of the research and academic literature on global and domestic policy issues for economic governance with a focus on India relevant topics
  • Changes in India that are in part (directly or indirectly) a consequence of India’s engagement with the WTO
  • India’s trade policy including free trade and preferential trading agreements
